    SonofaBish's newest toy

Sunday I brought home a new toy

    2003 RM250

    -Pro circuit Works pipe
-Ported and Polished Pro Circuit head
    -V-force Reeds
    -New top end
-2 brand new in-box top end kits (1 factory suzuki, 1 wiseco)
-2 other sets of plastic (unscratched originals and 1 brand new set still in the factory sealed packaging)
    -3 new clutch kits
    -4 new set of graphics
-all the usual performance mods that people do to 2-strokes and some other random parts
-The bike is in absolutely PRISTINE condition - rediculously well taken care of

The guy's son raced for a pretty big outfit in Ohio, and he said when he bought stuff (e.g. top end kit) he'd be several at a time (he was his son's mechanic). He decided to sell b/c he was getting older and preferred being able to lug the 4-strokes around. He had another 6 or 8 dirtbikes sitting in his garage - all 4-strokes.

The pic is the one he sent me b/c I don't have the internet at home yet, therefore i can't upload my pics.

I rode it for about 2.5 hours on Tuesday afternoon on my day off, and it was a total blast. Bike has more than enough power for anyone, and pulls VERY hard all the way from the bottom up through.... I'm more than pleased with my purchase - and i got it all for an absolute STEAL of a deal.

This bike wasn't raced, but he said that everytime his son's team changed their graphics scheme, he'd change his to match. Thus why it came with so many brand new graphics kits.

Yea its a blast for sure! I wanted a 450 4-stroke for a while, but after looking for 6 or 8 months, realized that I wasnt going to get even an older 4-stroke (e.g. 2000 YZ426F) for the price I'm willing to pay for a dirtbike. 2-strokes are just as good of a bike, but loosing their value quickly b/c no one wants them (plus the companies are trying to phase them out)... I can't deny, absolutely love the way 2-stroke power is... theres just something about them....

bike looks pretty decent, but 2 things about the above statement come to mind. dude is a liar, and a practice bike gets more abuse than a race bike so saying it was never raced means nothing. theres a reason it was all modded and it wasn't to sit in the garage as a conversation piece. anyway it looks decent and the price was not bad. you'll like it...

if you feel the clutch getting grabby, pull it out and check it. the plates will either be, cracked/broke or it's just glazed. other than that they are great bikes. i have a 01 rm265 and a 07 rm250

the kids name is tony gallo and he definately races.

Well, i guess that is a good possibility. The guy said that he just used it for trail riding with his buddies and his son. And at this point, if all he has had for a couple years is 4 strokes, i dont see why you'd have a 2-stroke practice bike...

I take it you know of his son? All i know is that the kid has a hell of a lot of 7' trohpies in his garage, so i can only assume he's a pretty good racer

Got an extra rear wheel off of Chevydad the other day.... thank you sir!

this bike absolutely screams.... she's a total blast, that's for sure!!! Now maybe if i get a truck sometime in the next year or so, i'll be able to haul it somewhere

sucks having to have someone come get it or borrow my parent's jeep to haul it on the trailer

tractor supply sells 4x6 and 4x7 trailers pretty cheap. i know the 4x6 is under 400 bucks. throw a hitch on the ta and run it. the vw you see me in has a hitch. i pull a 4x7 trailer with it on occasion.
