ok doing some research on the internet I have found out that big hp cars and Drag radials have a BIG problem with tire shake. So bad infact there has been several people with big 5/8" wheel studs who broke BOTH 33 spline c clip elim axles at the hubs

here is the video at Cecil

Where you on radials last night Mike? I have heard the same, A 2.3 guy that runs a lot at E-Town told me he has seen it several times. Sort of why a radial doesent work real well on a stick car, they try to ball up then unload into spin when the wall wont flex, but if you have good HP, they keep trying to ball up and unload resulting in violent shake. Never really seen it myself, but we were talking about this when I was thinking of going to the MT Radials. Thats why I left the QTP's and went back to my ET streets (goofey axles in mine).

Add that stuff to your suspension on the green car, and its real possible ;) That or you just beat the studs up, what where they?

I wish I was there, I usually watch you car run and could have seen what happened. Did anyone get it on tape??

Mike had more tire shake than most top fuel dragsters. I'm surprised he didn't have to pick up his fillings off of the floor

The car is all fixed now...

8 new wheel studs and a drive shaft ( the drive shaft loop bolts dug into the Drive shaft)

Will be upgrading to 5/8" studs over the winter!
