    Mustang Convertible

I work in Carnegie part time as a driver and I see a 90's green LX convertible in a small car lot all the time. I stopped to look at it and was just posting this up to anyone who is looking for a stang.

I don't know the price or anything about the car, just passing along this information. The car is located on Washington Pike (Rt. 50) just passed the little bridge near EW flynn tires on the right side. I think a police station is across the street from it.

That sounds like the car, although I think that anyone interested should really go take a look at the car. $5900 seems too high in my opinion. I looked at the car and I don't think it is worth that, but someone might be interested.

A friend of mine told me that if you take a wad a cash to the guy i.e. $4500, you'll drive away with the car. Look how much stangs are going for on Ebay...compare and contrast ($5900 isn't too bad in this case). It's a rare color and a drop top. if the guy were to sell it in the spring, I'm sure he'd get $5500 for it no questions asked.
As with any car out there... it's simply worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

Obviously you didn't look at the car up close. If anyone is interested in the car, PM me and I will tell you what I saw

If I recall, the cowl was painted coral reef rather than being stock black. That's all I really remember.....didn't take a paint guage to it to see if it was repainted.

Well, I am not bad mouthing the car lot at all, so I don't want that to be my impression.

From what I remember, the drivers fender paint was shotty, which I assume means it was replaced or wrecked.

The passenger window was not lined up correctly with the top. It appeared that the window was all the way up, but it would have definitely leaked in the rain.

The top will probably need to be replaced in the next year or 2.

The interior looked worn and faded. I realize the car is 10+ years old.

I didnt check under the car at all, so who know what the frame, exhaust and underside looks like

All in all it looks like it is a decent car, but definitly needs alot of TLC to bring it back to decent shape and in my mind is not worth what they are asking.

If the lesbians came with the car, I would buy it.

If they do sell it for $5900, then I would be very surprised. For a bone stock LX convertible in that state, I think it is way overpriced.

Hell, he can have my car for $8000 then and re-sell it for $10,000. I've got plenty of mods that would warrnant $8,000 in there mind

wow, I thought it was in great condition for a 14+ year old car. The gray interior was slightly faded but looked to be in great shape, paint looked original to mee, and the undercarriage was pretty much spotless. Car came from Florida. Definitely not showroom new or "excellent" concours condition but the car looked to be in good to very good condition...once again, for a 14+ year old car with 110k miles. The white top needed a good cleaning (as most white drops do).

    One man's trash is another man's treasure I suppose...lol ;)

I am not an expert by any means and the paint did look good, until I saw the poor patch/paint job on the drivers fender. Which means either the fender was fixed/replaced and painted, or the whole car was repainted. I could not tell. Either way, the fact that the fender was repainted does not justify $5900 in my mind.

If I had $3500 - $4000, that is about all I would pay for it. Just my opinion though.

If anyone's interested in the car, drive out and take a look for yourself and formulate your own opinion. Great time to take a look would be Friday if you're planning on going to the Woltz & Wind show!

I might stop back and get the VIN number to see what a Carfax report shows, or doesn't show.
