    This week at PRP

Weather looks like it might cooperate at least on 3 of the 4 racedays this week. Wednesday for TnT, Friday night for Bad Boyz/Bad Girlz (a TnT that starts at 9PM, gets interrupted for bikini contest), regular racing on Saturday, with bonus money ($1000 to win in Top, $1000 to win in Mod, $500 to win in Street), and Accuweather says Sunday looks gorgeous, high 60s, clear and sunny for King of Street. The KoS race is a lot of fun. Footbrake only (no electronics like transbrake, delay box, etc), $1000 to win, $350 runner up, $15 round money starting with 3rd round win.

I'll be there! I just got done bolting on my skinnies and wiping the dust off of my ET streets! I dropped a good amount of weight tonight! The weather looks awesome for T&T. I won't be able to make any of the other events this weekend though.

I plan on going to the TnT tomorrow. They're calling for a high 66 and low humidity. It could get as cool as low 50's by nights end.

There was a man lift sitting in front of the scoreboard in the left lane on Sunday. I assume something is started.

I really wish I could get out of work early enough Weds to make TnT, just for the weather. Hopefully Friday and Saturday are dry. The late start on Friday is easier to get to, and of course I'll be there both days running for the $$.

Unfortunately, the new electronics are looking like next weekend now. The scoreboards have new paint, and will contrast nicely to show the times. It does stink, but the track is at the mercy of the installer from the electronics company. If the Door Jamz guys don't overpower the track, I think we have a shot at seeing some 4.teens

Are you talking about my third run... or should I say SPIN?

    For all that didn't attend

    I went 10.05 @138
    10.03 @139

and this Is where it got BAD...all I remember is deep staging.... getting bad wheel hop and seeing sparks and spinning 2 times...and hoping that the sparks I was seeing was not from the gas tank!!!!!

What happened was I sheared off all the wheel studs and lost the wheel...the car came to rest on the anti-sway bar.

Now the lucky part...I didn't get hurt or hurt anyone
the car is very fixable all it needs is 4 wheel studs and a front universal joint
NO body damage NO under carriage damage!....except sway bar

Thanks to all that helped me at the track especially Joe and Chris for going all the way home to get a trailer and taking my car all the way to my to my home leaving it there so I can fix the car and drive it off

oh yea thank GOD it turned out this way!

    thanks

Wow, glad you are ok and it turned out that way, you can always fix the car. Looks like those tires hooked pretty good for you on your first 2 runs

Wow Mike, you gave us all quite a scare. I do have it on video from inside my car, and although its not the greatest, you can definitely see you spin out. As I said, I'm glad you are OK and the car is too for the most part. Thanks Chris and Joe for helping Mike out with the trailer, that was a very cool thing to do. Its why I love this hobby so much, there are a lot of great people associated with it.

I ran a new best with the new combo:
12.2 at 115.44, with a best MPH of 115.65. The car is still picking up between 27.2-27.8mph from the 1/8 mile on which still has me amazed!

Just a shout out to Paul, Mike (Paul's Dad), Troy, and Tom. Thanks for your help, offers, and concern. A VERY BIG thank you and hugs to Chris and Joe.

It was scary and ugly, but it could have been a lot worse. Not sure what was worse: Seeing the wheel fall off/apart, the sparks or the spins. Now I know how Laurie Force feels. ;) And I don't want to experience that again.

On a happier note: to Paul (Killercanary) for a pair of awesome runs. Keep it up Paul and you'll have that NA engine into the 11s.
