I'm rebuilding my trac-lok and i want to know if anyone has changed up the order of the steels and frictions. It came out with .070 shim F-S-S-F-S-S-F-S-S-F. I put it back in as .030 shim F-S-F-S-F-S-F. any thoughs?

I like to pull one steel and add one of the used frictions instead, seems to work pretty well. I do the second order you have.

I hear a lot of people saying they like the F-S-F-S-F-S-F setup and 'it better' because there is more clutch material, but I have never seen any factcual information or performance numbers on that setup. What about using the carbon fiber clutchs insteed of the regular clutchs. Anyone try that? Was it any better?
I have a set of the CF Clutches here, but will not try them until the next rebuild, and that might be next year the way it looks. I have always done the stock type stack, just shim the heck out of them. One other point, I have problably doubled the life of my TL clutches when I put a line lock on the car. I geuss those rear brakes dragging really put a hurting on them.
