Thread: Torn on how to proceed. Need advice for winter project

    The one real cool thing about the yamaha sho motor is the high rpm nature of it. I remember when I had my 93 SHO there were people that had spun that motor to 8000+ rpm without any damage. The rumor was they kept the redline to 7000 because it was killing the altenators revving any higher. This is a popular thread. Build what you want philly because TeH cObRa CaN nEvAr LoSe sucka

    i would do an LSX based chevy motor. single turbo will give you more than enough hp. It has a lot of aftermarket support for the motor. i would use the iron block. I have been kicking htis idea around for a while now in a personal vehicle.
    i will have to find or take some pics of a single turbo TA that was built here a while back. the setup was so simple and effective. Since then i have been a big fan of the setup

    thats another possibility too. I am interested in the swap that was in 5.0 magazine.

    btw i cant find it on news stands. is it already deprecated for the month??
