    5.0 kill in my escape

    I got the 4.0 in the escape and a stock 5.0 with some exhaust was cruisin and I couldn't help my self. I saw the car around before looks clean its a fox lx convertable a shade of green with black interior 5 speed beat him by about 2 car lengths.

    Sweet. You just ruined some teenagers weekend. Its amazing how far your normal commuter car has come compared to the sportscar of yesterday.

    Thats nice. Those excapes run. We had one. Traded for a Fusion. It ran better.

    those escapes are pretty peppy for what they are, still pretty sad that a 5.slow lost to it though!!!:p

    If it was an SN-95 I would say "are you sure it wasnt me!" lol. Half the time I am so out of it - I dont know who is lining up next or trying to race the Silver Butterfly.

    When did they start putting 4.0's in the escape?

    I had a 2002 escape with the 3.0L and I took it to PRP with ~1500 miles on it. I clicked off a few 16.6's in it, I can't remember the MPH but I think it was low-mid 80mph range.

    I may take our new ford Edge to the track soon. :)
