    New Wheels. YAY!!!

Heres some pics of the new wheels i picked up over the weekend. Have to get my extended studs before i can mount em up. Weld prostars, 15 X 3.5 and 15 X 8. Front tires are ET Fronts and rears are 28 X 9 ET Drags. Total weight difference between these wheels and the ones i have been using is 80 pounds!!! I hope these drop the old ET a little bit.

What factors influenced you to use a 27.3" tall tire?

Hitting rev limiter just before the quarter, meaning im at about 6,000 rpms. My valvues float at 5,600 so im trying to get under that point so i dont loose power on the top. Plus those are what came on the wheels when i bought them so im gonna give em a try.

Huh? I've never known there to be a 4 lug pro star. I think Prime or Cragar used to make a 4 lug "pro star" looking wheel, but I don't think they were aluminum IIR.

They're made by summit and they are aluminum. They're really called summit star wheels but same wheel as a pro star. I got them yesterday and I think they might be nicer than the Welds. They also use standard conical seat lug nuts which seems like a plus as well. (no longer studs needed)

Thanks for the info 393rag, I never heard of them before this. The fact that they is standard seat lugs is definitely a plus and will help keep weight down.
