The heads on this combo were ported by JDC in Illinois. They are the stage III T.W.

"Stage III ($1050.00) The intake and exhaust ports are ported and shaped for maximum efficiency, which includes the bowl area under the valves, valve guides being narrowed and shaped and the intake track satin polished and exhaust highly polished. Combustion chambers are shaped, polished and blended to the valve seats, intake ports are matched to a Felpro 1262 intake gasket and the exhaust port to a Felpro 1415 gasket with valve seats and valves receiving a performance multi-angle valve job."

It seems as if the increased port volume *could* be a contributing factor in the avg. torque production being a little low. It would be interesting to see how the dyno numbers translate to e.t. with this particular combo.

They nailed the A/F ratio at 13:1 throughout the greater part of the pull. A PMS was employed as a tuning tool on this example.
