    NMRA Pure Street 2008 endeavor

Got a question for you all. We have been kicking around the idea of a Pure Street entry next year. Most likely it will be a pushrod 310.7" c.i.d. mill with EFI. Manual trans deal. The cylinder heads and intake are 75% decided.

What suggestions about this class/car in general do you have?

This class mandates a 26x10 inch tire, diaphram clutch, hydraulic roller with .500" lift, N/A, and a 3,150 weight with driver for the combo I plan on running.

What kind of e.t.'s would you need to run to be competetive?
Would you have the ability to travel the country to enter all of the races?
Or would you try and hit the local ones?
    I'll call you tommorow.

    10.2x's-10.4x's@127-129:)
The first two are in the deep south and I would miss those and try to stay semi-local.
Try to hit 4 out of the 8 would be the goal for the first season.

just get the car class legal and go have fun!!! you need at least a year of class experience to find your way and get the car where it needs to be. to be competitive at that point, your going to have to be on the edge every pass you make. taking the long term approach to a specific class is the way to go imo. it will save you money in the long run and if you can make friends with your classmates, they will teach you most of what you need to know!!!
