A Dart Block for starters and light weight innurds.

    A custom growned cam

Twisted Wedge Heads. Don't worry about the weight penalty you will make it up in HP

Sturdy clutch and trans maybe a spare

Alot of DYNO time and testing.

Go out and have fun... Let me know if you need anything. I will more than likely be at all the events next year.

I know your not the craziest about Jay Allen, but I would contact him & see what he could do for you. He'll work with you on every aspect of the car not just the motor. Tell him your goals & let him pick the exact parts w/ your input.

I believe the off the shelf bump-stick mentality is gonna have to be put back *on* the shelf.

Duration needs to be increased drastically. Duration @ .050 is around 250's-260's if not more. Remember they are spinning them around 8,000 rpm or better.

Valvetrain stability/lightness will be one of the keys to enable the high rpm nature. Damn near 300 lbs. of ballast will be needed. I will also need to find some high flow mufflers and incorporate a valve/petcock along the feed line for gas at a certain point in the engine bay so gas can be checked after a run.

Do they limit the amount of octane you can run in that class? Could you just hook a valve onto the schrader fitting to check the gas?

I have been chatting with some of the JPC boys from down this way and the factory stock cars are running roller cam bearings and some crazy money in a "stock" long block. I can see if I can find out some more info on their pure stock cars if you want. I don't get to the track to often but I will more than likely be taking my buddies car down there to have some work done on it.
