I'm running 8.8:1 and can't touch numbers like that on pump. Combustion chamber design is pretty big factor in boost levels, not just static compression. Just like how 4v 5.4's can run 5 plus degrees more timing than a 2v at the same boost level. 30psi with 18 degrees on pump is pushing it pretty hard. I know alot of people have done it safely, but we all know there are just as many that have lost motors at the same boost levels. At that high of compression with low octane you have a Very low margin of error.
Well us Hemi guys can't help the fact you can't run those kind of numbers.

what did the turbo and intercooler run you if you dont mind me asking because i am thinking of going that route
sounds like it will make a nice setup, whens talins motor gonna bet done? he said when u got money u were gonna rebuild it and i was wondering how everything was going?
yea i have no problem paying for parts that were damaged. If he wants he can bring it on by and ill put it next to mine. If he does in deed do a boosted 408. I should be able to get a good deal on buying the parts in duplicate. My motor wont be put back together for awhile. This way the motor will have everything it needs to spec. So instead of ordering parts and guessing on how i wanted the setup. this way the setup will be done and ready to be installed then just drop in the motor.
So you can bring his heads and block over whenever you can, since his time frame is limted
