I have a 90 bronco 2 with a 2.9 and I am going to be replacing the TPS soon. I know how to replace the sensor, but do I have to set it up? Like check the output or anything like that. If so does anyone know what it should be and how to adjust it?

I'm not sure whether the tps on the broncos are adjustable or not. The voltage output should be around .98v
to replace it you just unscrew the 2 philips head screws and take it off and install the new one in its place, to set the tp-voltage, the black wire is the ground, the green is the sensing wire and the orange is the voltage input wire, hook up your multimeter (dc-volts) to the ground and the sensing wires then check to see if you have .98-1.00 volts its best to be at .99 volts, but sometimes you have to hog out the holes, now to check and see if you have a good senser hook up to it the same way i just told you to and use a graphing meter then push the throttle to the floor and the graph should go all the way to 5 volts and drop back down to .99 when you let off of the throttle, If you have no glitches in the graph line the sensor is good but if you have any glitches the senser is bad...or if the senser voltage is off the chart or like 2 volts at 3/4 throttle.

Radio Shack sells digital ones starting around 10 bux or so. I still have my very first cheap one and it still works!

Hey thanks, and I am getting my bachelors in HVAC so I do have a digital multimeter, and I may be able to get ahold of a scope.
Not digital!! Analog. The kind with the arm that swipes from side to side.
yeah but I don't have one of them here at school, I am probably just going to replace it with a new one anyways.
