New Kaufmanns dynotune numbers inside - still lower than expected

Well I took the advice and went to Kauffmans yesterday. Overall, I am very happy with the results since they fixed the hanging idle and stalling problems. Those guys seem to really know their tuning. I am still puzzled by why the car stopped making power at 5200 rpms. The power was up by 9 over my June numbers, but once again it stopped at around the 5200 level. SOTP the car felt excellent driving back from Kauffmans. I did a compression check and all 8 were around 155. I am beginning to believe the cam may be the problem. Kauffmans seemed to think that changing the cam and going to long tubes would get me to 350/360 at the tires. The TFS stage 2 cam is more of a 302 based cam and is a mismatch for the 347. Anyone care to comment?

I forgot to mention these new parts....

I installed a BBK 75mm throttle body, 6.300 pushrods, new Ford distributor and ignition control module.

You Have more than enough power to get into the low, low 12's and maybe the high 11's.

I installed a NOS Ford ignition control module and NOS Ford distributor. I found them cheap on eBay. The car runs great and the turnpike drive back from Kauffmans was quite a rush at 105mph up the 3 mile hill into the tunnel. Overall, I am very happy with the way it runs - it is just a bit lower than expected based on what I have read and heard. Now if I can get rid of the driveline vibration above 70mph, I think I will be done for a little while. The good news is the vibration does go away at 95mph.

Cam is 302 part in 347 for sure. Ditch it. Comp XE282 works well in 302 based strokers.

I did that in my Cobra coming back as well. Never dropped below 110 the entire way up the hill. Went into most of the turns at 140 and came out at 115. It was a blast!

The only thing that was more fun was listening to the Eaton screaming thru the tunnels at 150 with the top down!
