Another Granitelli POS, anyone who buys his junk has to be crazy. JR Granitelli is the biggest worm in the Mustang community.

That is downright scarey! I'd post this on every site if I were you in hopes that it'll save someone from wasting their money, and maybe even their life!

OK, we all know Granetelli is junk, but I'd like to know how often different brand of control arms get broke on people's high HP cars. I mean after being subjected to 4,000+ rpm clutch dumps numerous times, anything is eventually going to break.
I'd like to hear how long some of the control arms have been on people's cars before they have or have't broken and also tell how serious you car actually 60 foots.
2015 A6 Mustang GT that so far has gone 9.48@147 but still the fastest prochargerd S550 in the world aside from Tim Essick's!

I've always heard quality complaints about Granatelli, which swayed me away from them despite the cheap price...well the picture speaks for itself.
The UPR's I have right now are fine for my power level/driving style...but once I start making more power and beating harder on the car, I am gonna upgrade to MM.
Steeda hardcore uppers and lowers here, somewhere north of 400 passes and all have been a 1.5 or better 60 fts. My normal 60 fts as of recently are mid to low 1.4s. I think with the weight of my car (3600 LBS) and 6800 launches can atest to how strong these are. There are only 2 brands I would even consider for my car and they are Wolfe or Steeda.

Low horsepower car here (360 RWHP) at the time they ripped in half, the UPR uppers, I believe it was making around 337 to the wheels. Where the tube in the upper meets the C-shaped mounting part of the control arm (the part that connects to the spherical bushing) is where the breakage occured. This happened to both arms. It looked similar to GMkiller's pic where the weld did not penetrate, even slightly. A low, low 1.5 60' did them in completely, however they could have been on the way out prior to that. On that particular hit I felt the rear end moving around some after I snatched 2nd gear. Not even half-way through that gear I aborted the run.
This brings me to the current mind-set behind the car. Check everything twice you guys. Even on a low H.P. example in a fairly light-weight chassis parts are subjected to extreme abuse. It does not take much to give a thorough look at what's going on under the car after a beating at the track. Hell, with so much at risk (read: a life) taking some time to perform a visual check provides some reassurance that your machine is in good working order. Hey, I like this sport and I'd like to do it for as long as I can
