Thread: oil consumption problem???

    both motors in my Lightning have used alot of oil. Pcv systems on these like to suck oil. However i eliminated mine and i still go through 1.5 qts between oil changes and i have less than 10k on my bottom end.

    thanks for the imput guys..I think i have come to the conclusion that some of these motors just use a little oil......
    2015 A6 Mustang GT that so far has gone 9.48@147 but still the fastest prochargerd S550 in the world aside from Tim Essick's!

    that very well may be the case, it makes me scratch my head though. i have owned 7 modular powered fords and other than the mac long tube car, i have never burned oil or consumed oil. i usually use motorcraft oil and if i don't i always use the recommended weight oil...who knows

    Yeah Tim mine uses when I drive it hard, my sisters 97 GT did and my buddies 2000 did. I have a slight leak only at a cold start up but I know of a few ppls that have need to add old regularly b/c they shift at red line lol. I think it is just a mod motor thing.
