Feeler for IRS to solid swap

Just putting this out there to see if anyone local would be interested in an IRS swap. Would have to be 99+ GT or Mach.

The upsides of the irs (03-04) are that they are 31 spline halfshafts so they are pretty stout, and handling is much improved. I can tell you first hand from driving my solid axle cars it will most certainly corner better. Where you hit an imperfection if the road and the solid kind of skips around, this IRS stays planted. When I took it to the track I was cutting almost 1.7's with it and there was more left in it. Now the downsides are it's heavier and it can wheelhop on a hard launch on the street. There are factors that control how much it hops like tires and such, but the potential is there. The wheelhop will also be a factor of HP and TQ. Mine is a bone stock unit with about 36K on it. It has the factory 3.55's and was just gone over by Street Lethal and has a clean bill of health. If you are interested in it I'd be glad to take you for a ride in the car and you can judge for yourself if you like it. I've been back and forth over whether to beef it up a bit and stay with it, or just swap it out. I did just buy a set of airbags which I've seen can have a great effect of reducing wheelhop by not allowing so much deflection in the bushings. I just always figured if I had a Cobra I'd go solid , so that's what I'm planning to do. LMK if you're interested we can talk more about it. Thanks.
