Ok, I finally break down and get a set of wheels that look good on the car and when I get to mounting the last one, I realize, hidden beneath a wheel weight, a rather large HOLE in the rim. It doesn't appear as big in the pic as it actually is.
Now I partly blame myself for not looking a bit more closely, but at the same time, I see this as something that should have been brought to my attention. At the moment the wheel/tire still holds air, but when the tire is due to be replaced, the weight will have to be removed. Which is how I believe it got this way in the first place. I am concerned of the safety aspect as well. There is another wheel with a small segment missing which may have occurred the same way.
Is there any way to correct this, or do I need to start searching for a matching replacement, or 2?
