i filled one of my tags today. he's not the one i was after. he's not my biggest or nicest, just a decent 9pt. i have a total of 1hr and about 40 minutes into hunting this year. i spent an hour in the woods saturday in the rain, and 40 minutes today. i was suprised i even hit him it was a 60 yd shot and i hadn't shot a single arrow this year due to the accident so i just hoped my bow was still good to go.

Nice buck, a 60 yd shot with a bow, guess it's better to be lucky than good sometimes

i do have a 60 yd pin. i usually only practice out to 40 yds but have sighted it in for 50 and 60yd shots just in case.

Gotta say...i've never heard of anyone killing a deer out a 60 yds. with a compound...nice kill.

Most people don't realize what it takes to shoot a bow accurately at 20yds let alone 60yds.

Well Fella's Saturday marks the close of archary season (till 12/26/07). Get out there and kill something.

Little story on why to bring a bow or a gun when you scout. Today me and two other guys were scouting some local woods and when we started down this one trail we saw an 8pt (like chevydad's). We all stop dead in our tracks. I told the guys to try to keep him there while I ran back (100yrds) to the truck to get my crossbow. I made it back, took a knee, took off the saftey and just then the bastard darts off into the woods. We track him for about 30mins.....we were able to see him a total of 3times. Couldnt get a shot any of the other two times I saw him.

Im going out tomorrow morning.....I'll let you all know

we still have a couple more tags to fill,(thank god for family) i'm taking one or both of my son's this year too. iit would be both there first times going. i can just about garuntee them both getting bucks if they do go.

That is about the worst shooting I have ever seen. Besides this one. This was the smaller of the two. The guy's gun was so far off, he was aiming at the other one and hit this one. HAHAHAHAHAHA Location?, Not a chance. HAHAHAHAHAHAA
