    autogage tach wiring

I bought an autometer autogage 5" tach off e-bay used and it didn't come with direction to which wire goes where there is a RED, GREEN, BLACK, and WHITE i'm guessing black=ground, red=+pos, green=lights, white to coil, am i correct, thanks a lot, and where is the easiest place to hook it up under the hood?

I'm not sure on the model you have, so FWIW, but the green is the tach signal wire on every rpm device I've seen. Search the autometer site, they have to have directions out there ;)

I use the output from my ignition box for mine now, but picked up the signal right off the cluster before this.

One thing you might want to try is looking up the model number on Summit's website. Alot of times they have the the install instructions posted, and you can download them.

    good luck !
