Possible Clutch Problem HELP!!

tonight on my way home, my car started makeing this strange squeaky sound almost like a high pitch howling. being an idiot i pushed in the clutch pedal and revved the motor to about 5,500 and let the clutch out rather fast in 5th gear, then it really made a screech sound i'm sure was the clutch. and after that the clutch pedal got really easy to push and smooth which worries me because it was not like that before, it was stiffer. so when i got close to home i ripped up the road as hard as i could, 1st, 2nd, 3rd gears.. and nothing happend, it worked fine, but the pedal is really soft. anyone have an opinion on what might have happend to make it soft like that? the clutch grabs fine i thought it might be my cable going bad.

Probably lost half of your clutch disc. Same exact thing happened to my buddy. After We threw a clutch in it was fixed. I could show you a pic but I am too lazy to take one. The fiber part actually came completelt off 1 side of the friction disc. It still functioned right though.

i have had this happen to me before too and it sqeaked like a mofo.

Must be a common thing with these and stock clutches.

its not stock its a ram, I drove it all day today, it was fine. and now it feels normal

i figuerd out what the strange howling sound was. its the clutch packs in the rear end. i went to big parking lot and drove in circles. and my clutch packs chatter
