    Which Hood?

Help me decide which hood to consider.

    Cervinis Ram Air Hood
    Height of lift: 1-1/2"
    Width of scoop opening 8-1/4"
    Height of scoop opening 1-1/4"

    Cervinis Stormin Norman Hood
    Height of lift: 2-1/2”
    Width of scoop opening 7-1/2"
    Height of scoop opening 1"

    http://www.cervinis.com/large.aspx?i..._(820x562).jpg

    Cervinis Heat Extractor Hood
    Height of lift: Stock
    Width of scoop opening unknown
    Height of scoop opening unknown

I called Cervinis and they cannot guarantee proper fitment with my strut brace.

Heat Extractor gets my vote. If the brace doesn't clear, just unbolt it and pitch it in the scrap pile.

I like the heat extractor as well. Cervinis said they could not guarantee fitment if a supercharger was installed, yet I told them the only thing I had installed was the strut tower brace.

I would hate to see that go, but if I decide on the heat extractor then it will come off if there are clearance issues

I like the heat extractor, that gets my vote. If you dont want to give up your brace for fitment then i would say ram air as second choice

be careful because later down the road you may run into clearence issues with the ram air hood like i did. i got taller valve covers which required a 1" intake spacer. and the cobra intake with the 1" spacer didnt clear my ram air hood with the ram air kit on it. the stormin normin and ram air hoods are identical but the stormin normin has an extra 1.5" of cowl

I would not buy any of those. I would get an HO fibertrends 3" which is more like a 4". Cheaper and better if you ask me and a ton of my friends. Crevinis is just way overpriced and fits the same or worse than others. I really dont understand but people need to quit swinging from cervinis nuts.

My cervinis fits perfect. no need for hood pins or anything. and not flimsy at all.

Agreed on the quality of the HO Fibertrends hoods. Unfortuantely I guess that makes me one of Wick's friends.

There won't be any clearance issues later. I have my chrome valve covers already, and my chrome cobra intake (without the spacer)

I looked at the HO fibertrends. I really don't care for hoods that stick up really high near the cowl grille. Plus I like the designs of the scoops on the hood.

If cervinis is too overpriced, and I don't like HO fibertrends what are my options
