Your post doesnt make sense... first you say its a Trans Am (or atleast i'm guessing that's what u were going for) and then u say its not a true WS6, but a formula....

Is it a Formula, or Trans Am? believe it or not, that's a big difference in price from what i've seen....

70K miles is not too many miles if its been taken care of....

Either way, for 4500, its probably worht looking into how much its going to cost to fix...

Also, big price sways come from Trans Am vs. Formula, M6 vs. Auto (probably a good 2-3K more for an M6), Color (red, white, silver, and pewter are much cheaper than black, dark blue, and sunset orange), etc. etc.

Some of this could have changed, but i spent 9-10 months looking for my LS1 before i bought it.... I finally found exactly what i wanted for the price i was going to spend...

no.. there is no such thing as a formula trans am...
    Firebird Formula...
    Firebird Trans Am
Firebird Trans Am WS6 (ws6=ram air hood/airbox, different shocks (i think) that made a minimal difference, and "low restriction" exhaust)

both the formula and the trans am had the 5.7L LS1 motor.... the formula is the base firebird with the big motor.... in the ls1 years, the trans am didnt really come with any additional options... it was loaded to the gills inside (leather, etc etc) and has the body effects outside... The formula is a base firebird, like i said, with the 5.7 and you could add options on top of this.... The front facia is different, the rear spoiler is differnt and the body effects are different... its not a whole lot of differences, but enough that makes the T/A look MUCH MUCH better than a formula...

As far as the t-tops... if i recall correctly, all LSx 4th gen f-bodies came with T-tops... only in the LT1 ('93-'97) was the t-tops an option...
