    Heater core help

I have a leaking heater core in my 93 fox. Before I tear off the dash and replace it i have a question.

Someone told me that if you don't need a heater that you can connect the two Heater core hoses together that go into the dash.

    Does that work?

I don't really need a heater so if it does work I think that is what I am going to do.

    Thanks

Just cap off the heater hose ends at the motor or put plugs in them.

Generally not a good idea if you have a thermostat. Thwe heater core loops acts as a bypass until the thermostat opens.

To the original question, you can loop them at the firewall, just no heat.
