    2x12 Lumber

    anyone got any good/new 2x12's they bought and dont need? Im pricing whether it better/cheaper to build my own bed fram storage or buy some from ikea.

    also if anyone can link me to the Queen bed frame with built in storage at Ikea that be cool too. I cant seem to find it. Maybe Im getting tired

    Seriously, why the hell would you need to build a bed out of 2x12's? A dumptruck or group of fat chicks would be the only reasons I can think of.

    im making a storage dresser. need room for the drawers.

    no i need 4 2x12 standing long side up. running the length of the bed. 2 2x12 standing long side up running width of bed. at the head and foot. sheet of plywood or similar for top and bottom.
    its not a hard concept.

    1x12 might even work.

    You'd prolly be OK with 1X. Even the old waterbeds only had OSB standing on end to support a massive amount of water weight. 1X would be pretty strong standing on end, and cheaper.

    got to thinking that. i was kinda getting tired when thinking and drawing this last night.
