Well I took the 02 mGt to the shop to get the exhaust leak looked at. The guy told me the header is leaking on the drivers side and the bolt is stripped there also. he told me to fix this you would have to pull the engine. does this sound right? and it would cost alot of money to fix.

If you have the correct tools, you should be able to pull the k-member and get it.
