Did you have a friend follow you out to bring the stocker home? Surprised you drove your car all the way out there! Looks great!
I think I confused you, car is safely tucked away for winter (broken axle anyway). Drove out in my truck to get the hood, bolted it on in the garage.;)

hey if you want to sell the scoop off the old hood Id be interested , Im one of the guys who put your car together years ago , we talked befor. the cowl hood looks very nice I never saw a cowl for a capri befor. let me know
Yeah, now I can carry a spare tire up there or add another valve cover on top of that one :D The only place I was ever tight for clearance was around the throttle body. At least I can see the radiator now :D
It fits really well "out of the box". Just putting it on there and putting the bolts in and it fits better than a lot of the glass hoods I've seen "finished". The side gaps are really good, It still needs the back adjusted up a bit, but I'm not going nuts until I get hood pins installed and the front right. We will see what my buddy who is painting it says (MAP), he is a fiberglass guy and a painter.
Wild guess, a little less than 20#'s?? I think its a few #'s lighter than a stock hood, plus i had the turbo hood scoop and the Capri louvers in mine. The latch stuff is going too, probably another few #'s there too.
Probably not going to sell it, I put the old hood up in my basement, might want to go back someday or even worse. build another Capri ;)

Hi Bob,
any idea what your race weight is?

Thanks Everyone.
Mark - The last time we had it on 4 corner scales, it was just a hair under 3200#'s (3196) with me in the car and 3/4 tank of gas. I typically race with a full tank. That was last fall, so that would have been race weight for this year. I'm trying to get another 100#'s out of the car without any major changes (interior stays, etc). When the car goes to paint, we can probably 4 corner it again.

A dressed 2.3T weighs within 40#'s of a 5.0. Add aluminum heads to the 5.0 and its actually lighter :( Funny thing, this car is no AC manual windows, locks, etc. I have removed little stuff over the car, but added a heavy intercooler, radiator, fans, etc. Basically everthing I've done to date has been a wash. This car is a driver, i'm not taking anything out of the interior. I'm not exaxcly a lightweight either ;)
