no im not since u ask ive seen many near stock 5.0 gt foxes with gears and slicks and un gutted running high 13's on slicks at beaver which is a slow track but that is what they run for the most part. 13.8's@102 some were in that range.
I'll just throw in my personal experience. I had a 90 gt with the following.. flowmasters, h pipe, 2.73 gears, k&N in air box, short shifter, stock everything else. and I was going 14.2 at cecil county, and 14.4 at Beaver Springs. Thats on a street tire cutting 2.2 60's. So make your own guesses, but i'd say on your best pass, depending on the track you could run a 13.4-13.7

Here's one running 106.92

And so what if it's lightened, it's still a stock long block anyway.

-Not gutted like my P.O.S.
I can hear it now, "There's no way a *stock* 5-Liter can do that"

Not only did I fail at building a fast mustang but I bought a yellow zo6 cause I couldn't get my little dick up.
we are not talking about a gutted car in this thread we are talking about a full weight gt. i have a 91 gt when i got it had 4:10's, a bullshit upper box intake from cartech, and the a/c and smog were elim, underdrives, and that was it car ran 13.9x on a 1.8 60's on a 26x8.5 slick at beaver 5,500 rpm launches and yes i can shift very well u can ask some of the people on this site whlstndr, mcm, delldoe,ocr racing,91ntchlx, so yea their are some cars out their that are fluke low 13's stockers running around but 9 out of 10 they are high 13 second cars.
Let me put this in perspective. I had an 86 Mustang GT 5-speed. 2.73's (not a typographical error) Absolutely NO weight reduction I weigh 205 lbs. This example had 28,xxx original miles. It had 3 and only 3 mods.
Mods:
* air silencer removed
* advanced timing
* serpentine belt delete.
Traction was courtesy of Pep Boys 420 tread wear 225/60/15 radials.
With only those mods in a pig 200 H.P. 86 5-Liter @ PRP (not exactly a mine shaft track)
It went back to back to back 13.9x's. No fluke by any means.
Now your trying to tell me an 87 with more H.P. from the gate, full exhaust, gears, slicks, intake, and some other mods is at best going to match that performance I got out of that 86?
C'mon man, I've been at this for more than a minute![]()

Seems like unless these foxes come from the mid mon valley they dont run for shit!....LOL.....Must have been all that practice we had back in the day on "The new road".......![]()
I think the "DRIVER MOD" is the most important thing to consider here.
If that mod is correct low 13's should be no problem.
Pure Stock, We have two diffferent opinions of stock cars. I'm not talking stock long block with the rest of the car tweaked to the moon. I'm talking stock like a flowmaster cat back and a air filter. As for your post above with the 13.9, I totally believe it, and nice time, but i'm talking the norm.. most people are going to run like 95-98mph and somewhere in the 14's.

Well, i didnt get any time to take my car to the track, and ive been slowly adding performance partsand was wondering what you guys think my car should run (with no traction issue, or driver error) lol
list of mods in sig
Thanks!

*First off, I was commenting on this gentleman's potential e.t. As cam303 stated, all drivers have different abilities and with a manual trans. a lot of variance can be experienced.*
"no im not since u ask ive seen many near stock 5.0 gt foxes with gears and slicks and un gutted running high 13's on slicks at beaver which is a slow track but that is what they run for the most part. 13.8's@102 some were in that range."
*This member here then posts a trap speed of 102 mph "many near stock 5.0 gt foxes with gears and slicks and ungutted running high 13's on slicks" He also states they are trapping 102. That trap speed is good for 13.2's all day long if not better.*
"show me someone who's hitting 102-103mph on a basically stock mustang??? unless they are driving a stripped out car like you."
*You then want to call me out about showing cars that trap 102-103. Why me? I was simply commenting on the potential of 102 mph. High 13's@102 is inefficient as hell. If that strikes a nerve with you, deal with it.*
And for the record, I have trapped 102+ @ full weight in a fox body with full exhaust, gears, pulleys, adv. timing, air silencer removed, on 225/50/15 radials and pulled a 13.3 out of it. I'll leave it up to the car and driver and road and track yuppies with there fifth wheel to run 98 mph in a fox.

In conclusion, The creator of this thread has the *potential* to attain low 13 sec. e.t.'s based on what I have accomplished and helped others to do. These are objective results gentleman. Not some guess, based on what others have *NOT* accomplished. The basis of my comments are to provide insight based on "REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE" Good Luck Black87GT![]()
