low 13's if you can drive the wheels off it on slicks...but for the sake of an average driver, id say 13.6-13.80

Black87GT, let me know how it does, I am curious to see how close, or far off my guess may be.

Maybe he's not the one being so egotistical. Let it go bud, he is right, but you have to keep trying to drive your point home.

Ahhhh, the good old days of "The new road"

Funny how even to this day it's still termed that and I still look for the spraypainted start & finish lines on it with those strange dots every 100 feet in between where we ran out of tape measure marking the 1/4 mile off.

I've tried to let it go, but every time i do, i come back and someone has something else they want to say. If your going to defend your point of view, don't be so offended when i try to defend mine. I'm still not even clear on what i said that pissed you guys off so bad? Doesn't anybody ever question anything said on this forum lol. I have no pent up frustration over this thread guys, so i hope you aren't sitting at home all worked up over it waiting to come back and team up on me some more. can't we all just get along

If you can be so kind to show me what i said that makes you think that I'm egotistical please post it up, and i'll appologize. Go back and read your buddies posts and then come back and try tell me they aren't arrogant.

this is how this thread began.
wondering what you guys think my car should run? key word u guys.

purestock makes his statement no one says anything i state mine and i get this.

    ff:
if u leave on hard on slicks and shift well enough high 13's are their but if not low to 14's

    ps:
    You must be joking.

    ff:
no im not since u ask ive seen many near stock 5.0 gt foxes with gears and slicks and un gutted running high 13's on slicks at beaver which is a slow track but that is what they run for the most part. 13.8's@102 some were in that range.

    ps:
Well, if there trapping 102-103 and hitting high 13's with slicks they need to hang the third pedal up and put one of those slushboxes in 'em, cause that's pathetic.

    ff:
again just stateing what ive seen at a track that this guy will probably be running at since he only live minutes away in selinsgrove, pa and iget the response above.

mill creek mafia states his two cents from personal experience
I'll just throw in my personal experience. I had a 90 gt with the following.. flowmasters, h pipe, 2.73 gears, k&N in air box, short shifter, stock everything else. and I was going 14.2 at cecil county, and 14.4 at Beaver Springs. Thats on a street tire cutting 2.2 60's. So make your own guesses, but i'd say on your best pass, depending on the track you could run a 13.4-13.7
show me someone who's hitting 102-103mph on a basically stock mustang??? unless they are driving a stripped out car like you.

    ps:
    Here's one running 106.92

    http://www.steelcitystangs.com/forum...ead.php?t=6389

And so what if it's lightened, it's still a stock long block anyway.

then go out of the way to post up the please dont feed the noob at the bottom

    Stock long block trapping 108.32

    -Not gutted like my P.O.S.

I can hear it now, "There's no way a *stock* 5-Liter can do that

Here's another example from the corral. It ain't gutted either

    http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=778135

    I'll stop now.

    gm:
    My stock longblock went 106.15 N/A @ a weight of 3350.
I was cutting 1.71-1.72 60' times on Nito drag radials.
Just because you cant do it dosent mean it cant be done!

    ps:
C'mon man, I've been at this for more than a minute.

    mcm:
Pure Stock, We have two diffferent opinions of stock cars. I'm not talking stock long block with the rest of the car tweaked to the moon. I'm talking stock like a flowmaster cat back and a air filter. As for your post above with the 13.9, I totally believe it, and nice time, but i'm talking the norm.. most people are going to run like 95-98mph and somewhere in the 14's.

    ps:
    "What will it run?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, i didnt get any time to take my car to the track, and ive been slowly adding performance partsand was wondering what you guys think my car should run (with no traction issue, or driver error) lol

    list of mods in sig

    Thanks!

First off, I was commenting on this gentleman's potential e.t. As cam303 stated, all drivers have different abilities and with a manual trans. a lot of variance can be experienced.*

"no im not since u ask ive seen many near stock 5.0 gt foxes with gears and slicks and un gutted running high 13's on slicks at beaver which is a slow track but that is what they run for the most part. 13.8's@102 some were in that range."

    ps:
This member here then posts a trap speed of 102 mph "many near stock 5.0 gt foxes with gears and slicks and ungutted running high 13's on slicks" He also states they are trapping 102. That trap speed is good for 13.2's all day long if not better.*

"show me someone who's hitting 102-103mph on a basically stock mustang??? unless they are driving a stripped out car like you."

    ps:
You then want to call me out about showing cars that trap 102-103. Why me? I was simply commenting on the potential of 102 mph. High 13's@102 is inefficient as hell. If that strikes a nerve with you, deal with it.*

    ps:
And for the record, I have trapped 102+ @ full weight in a fox body with full exhaust, gears, pulleys, adv. timing, air silencer removed, on 225/50/15 radials and pulled a 13.3 out of it. I'll leave it up to the car and driver and road and track yuppies with there fifth wheel to run 98 mph in a fox.

    ps:
In conclusion, The creator of this thread has the *potential* to attain low 13 sec. e.t.'s based on what I have accomplished and helped others to do. These are objective results gentleman. Not some guess, based on what others have *NOT* accomplished. The basis of my comments are to provide insight based on "REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE" Good Luck Black87GT

now who here really has the ego issues? it sure as hell isnt millcreekmafia. he has done nothing but state his point of view towards what was asked as was i and because it wasnt what purestock felt was right he weent out of his way to make sure his post are dedicated to bashing our views and personal experiences.

It ain't ego:) It's called working with what you have to generate e.t.'s that others have not accomplished. I came into this thread commenting about what this individual can *potentially attain* as far as e.t. People then bring an ego thing into the equation. Is it ego or accomplishment. I stated objective results that are not in-line with what others *feel* a stock mustang mimicking the original poster's 5-Liter *could* e.t. I am entitled to an opinion just like the rest of you. And I'll say it again, trapping 102 and running 13.8's is horrible. And an automatic would do that e.t./mph package some justice.

I'll have to wait till next year to find out, because The initial outing at prp ended up with some real issues. Need to get the boost loss corrected on the K/B and get my 19 psi back. That and I need to learn how to work this t-56. I was real comfortable with the crappy 5 speed in the Mach, but I feel like I'm shifting an old Mack dumptruck with a 2x4 in the Cobra.

I had a hurst billet plus in my old cobra....i went to an MGW (and i HATE spending money on shifters because I think it's useless)...but that was undoubtedly a good purchase.

So if you don't already have an MGW orange handled shifter....that is my recommendation. Better centering, better stick location, better feel.

I also had a quick release quadrant and adjustable firewall adjuster...those are must's but you probably already have them.
