No I have never ran the car before. It has underdrive pullies, 65mm tb, offroad h pipe, cold air intake.

26x8.5x15 is more than adequate. 26x10's will create more rolling resistance and frankly it's too much tire for your combo. Ask me how I know.:D

Too big a tire with stock motor and chassis = twisted or broken parts and rollback truck!!

X2 - the only reason I got away with my axles as longs as I had was that the car never dead hooked. I'm going bigger / wider this year, we will see how much 4 cylinder T5's can REALLY take :D

BTW - are you guys recomending a 10.50 tire confusing slick sizing (true width) versus and ET street (sidewall width)? a 8.5 slick will be just about the same tread face as a 26-10.50 ET street. You cant even count on that, for instance, I'm going to a 27-10.50 ET Street, and its 1/2" wider than a 26-10.50.

26X10.5, RPM extender and launch at 6500. That would be fun. JK! With your combo, I would just stick with a DR or a nice street tire.

I agree I think I am going to try drag radials first.

I dont want to start a who debate, but....... With a 5 speed, stock suspended car, you are going to get frustrated with drag radials real quick. If you have ot have a radial, go with Mickey Thompsons, but a good old ET street will make your life so much easier.
