    Wheels and tires

Thanks to a lawsuit that finally ended, I can finally get wheels and tires for the stang!

    17*8's

    18*10's

I'll be reusing the 555's on the front wheels on my stang, and for the rear tires, I bought 2 NT-555R's off of Steeda's website in size 305/35-18; I bought that size so the sidewalls on the front and rear tirs will be about the same. My speedo reads fast anyways, with any luck this'll kinda correct it. :D

Looks good but is there any specific reason y u chose 17's for the front? Regardless looks good though. Also is it me or does nitto 305's run kinda small?? They look almost like 295's cause i heard that the nitto's run a little smaller. Do you still plan on getting the cobra front, sides etc?? Cant wait to see them on there.

Not enough money for new tires in the front. I'm reusing the 555's on my stock front wheels on these new front wheels. And if anyone finds it odd that I'm going 17's in front, and 18's in rear, then here's the explanation:

In theory, yes, but we don't recommend it because it throws off your rolling diameter.
The tire sizes we recommend are the best fit for the wheels we sell. If you use the recommended tire sizes, you will have a fat front sidewall and a skinny rear sidewall. You can get around this, by using a taller tire in the back, which will give you the correct sidewall height. However, doing this throws off your speedometer, and you will need to purchase a handheld tuner to correct it.
Note: For owners of 1994-2004 Mustangs that still want to do 17x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear, the tire sizes you need will be as follows:
17x9: 275/40-17 or 245/45-17 (depending on the year of your car)
    18x10: 305/35-18
At this time, we do not offer the proper tire size for 2005+ cars.

I'm not sure if I'm buying cobra body pieces yet. Definitely considering them though.

Ah ok cool. There was a bullit that i saw at carlisle that had a real nice stance with the 17's in the front and 18's in the back with 315's and it looked really nice. Those will go well with your car plus its black.

    I'm hoping so!

It was a worrying thought in the back of my head if an SN95 would look funny with 17s in front and 18s in back. But since you said it looks good, I'll just take your word for it. Too bad I gotta wait 'til Spring!

I've heard a lot of good and a few bad about them. A few of the good reviews were with people that had 600+HP cars. I'm nowhere near 600 but for a streetable tire that will help me win some races at the flashlight drags, I figured these Nittos would do nicely.

They are fine for playing around. I don't like them for track use on an IRS car but you should be ok with what you have.

I have seen 17/18" setups also. Not that out of the ordinary just as long as the rolling diameter is the same or close.

I've run nitto's for years now and I wouldn't run any other tire. I LOVE them, and they hook very well too... I've had 1.67 60's on them at the track.

Its nice to know that the lawsuit is over. My mom wanted the staggered look for her bullitt, but with the lawsuit between american racing and the replica wheel manufactures she was forced to buy the american racing torque thrust M wheel.

Those wheels are going to look great on your car! Post pics once you have them on.

I have 275/40/17 Nitto 555Rs (drag radials) on my street tires for my 94 and they wont hook for crap. I just blow them off. Heck i was blowing off M/T ET streets at the flashlight drags. Look great and i wish you luck.
