First kill for the 2000 GT

So im on my way home from work tonite and a few cars up i notice a silver mazda hatchback. I didnt think much of it till i get closer to see it sitting low, wide tires, big exhaust, ground effects, ect. On the back it says Mazdaspeed 3. It was moving pretty good. So im like aw what the hell. We come up to a place were its two straight lanes over a bridge. I pull beside and throw it in 2nd. He throws it down a gear and i hear blow off valve. I say to myself this might not be good. He hits it immediately followed by me. I pull about a car on the initial jump. 3rd and winding out 4th i pull about 2 cars total. At this point im VERY impressed with this mazda. Get to the light and he puts down the window. Im like is that turbo? He says yeah and revs it. Very nice car. Heres the specs:

Yea they're pretty quick. I guy i used to work with had one and we raced a couple of times. From a dig i could get him up until around 4th then he would start to real me in. From a roll though he would get me pretty much every time. I've a hard time beleive that they only run a 14.3 stock. It seemed to be faster than that but i dunno. From what i've read with the factory tune the ecu limits boost in 1st and 2nd. It doesnt get full boost until 3rd gear. Good kill!!

Id have liked to gone from a dig WITHOUT my god damb snow tires on. But yeah from a roll that car is very quick. Would have ate my 94 in pre superchager times for lunch.

I bet with a tune and some decent tires that thing is easily a mid 13 second car.

But the key there is that car is at HOME. Dude, i was proud of that mazda. Ricer or not that car is impressive. Im just glad the old modular had enough cause i HATE loosing to foreign cars.
