    Shifter Opinions

Im thinking about throwing in a new shifter. I think ive got it down to two choices.

    MGW or Steeda Tri-ax

Id like to see what everyone on here thinks.

I drove a 97 v6 with the tri-ax. I liked it a whole lot, had a nice, short throw and felt right. No experience with the MGW tho so i couldnt tell you about that

Those have always been my favorite followed by the Pro 5.0's. Had a Tri-Ax in my Cobra cause I got a good deal on it. They're basically all the same. Personally, I'd just go with whatever one you can find the best deal on.

I started off with a pro 5.0 in my 03 cobra, switched to MGW because it was the latest and greatest. Sold it a month later, was the notchiest POS shifter I ever used. Went back to Pro 5.0 and kept it that way!

I have a MGW on my T56 and I just don't like it, (bought it for the same reasons) I had a Pro 5.0 on my T5 in the Capri and I could just mow through the gears, I know they were differnt trannys and all but I've been thinking about tossing the MGW for a Pro 5.0. That 12.28 would be a 12.1x if the dam thing shifted like my old T5.

    Pro 5.0 eh?

Hmmm. I guess its between the Pro 5.0 and the steeda tri-ax so far from input on here. Ill have to do more research at the christmas party.

My ears were burning and I wondered why. Pro-5.0 is the one and only aftermarket shifter I ever purchased.;) They have different handles too besides the one that comes with the unit.
