i am planning on doing a 5 lug swap this winter on my 92 gt. i have a carrier from a 98 f150, witch is 31 spline. im almost positive it will bolt right in but wanted to make sure. i figured i may as well put 31 spline axles in my car so i dont snap them when i put the s trim on. another question is , is there a vehicle in the junkyard that i can take 31 spline axles from to put in my rear?

Not sure about that but the explorer center section is an 8.8 and it has 31 splines. I would do that. Get the center, dismantle and put the internals in your housing. Then go to summit and get some axles for cheap.

new axles are only $239.00 you make $20 n hour cmon
I have some 4-lug drag axles if you just wnt to replce what you have now and not convert it.
