Since November.
Been parked since Oct.1. Too many miles to school and work....about 500 a wk, give or take a hundred. Might get it out in March to make another trip to Florida but then again might take the gf's focus.
Took mine out last Saturday, was nice day and no salt on the roads. But it wont be out again now till April most likely.
Lots to do before then, seems like spring is long time off, but it will be here before we know it.
early November for me - and what's worse is that it's at my Dad's place since we're working on his car at my place - I need to start it up this week - it has been 6+ weeks.......only 4 more months to go...

I have a question on storage. Do you guys start the cars and let them fully warm up during winter or just let them sit until spring. I did all the storage steps and cant see how starting the car when its dead cold could be good for it at all. Then again some of you might have heated storage units or something too.

Just after the last long drive and tire burning session I do this procedure.
I change the oil first, then fog the cylinders with a WD40 like oil, then jack it up and put it on stands. Then I hook up my battery tender and cover the wheels/tires with the covers for them and finally cover the car.
I DO NOT run it at all over the winter unless I need to after working on something. You can't really put enough heat into the motor by idling or free revving it and unless you drive it moisture just builds up in the engine when it's run. Sooo.. It takes a long nap, then in the spring I disable the fire and roll it over for a bit to build up pressure, then fire that mother up! lol

Thanks guys! I did everything but the engine fog because I dont exactly have room to get around the car to pull plugs but she should be fine. I also put in a full take of 93 with fuel some stabilizer.
"You can't really put enough heat into the motor by idling or free revving it and unless you drive it moisture just builds up in the engine when it's run." That is what I thought about starting the engine in the winter.
So In the spring how do you "disable the fire and roll it over for a bit to build up pressure". I heard that you can just hold the gas to the floor to disable the ignition and crank the engine over a few times but I am a little bit afraid to try that. The last thing I want is to start the car at full throttle. lol

mines been away for about a month now, i got the insurance reduced since its parked so that will help my wallet a little. my car is for sale again if anyone is interested. i'm looking to buy a brand new car something fun to drive year round and you guys will hate me if i tell you what it is hahahaha :)
The more important question to me is..... If you don't do the oil fog (which i honestly have no clue what you're talking about Mark - not familiar with this at all) and you let the car sit all winter, how bad is it to fire the car up after letting it sit for 4 months or so....
I'm sure most of, if not all of the oil has drained down into the oil pan, so that first crank over would be with no lubrication....
or is this your purpose of "disabling the fire"? Get the engine cranking over, etc with no spark to the cylinders? You could just unhook all the plug wires, then hook them back up when you're ready to rolll eh?
