    Ford is greedy......

I'm out in Ohio right now doing some work for a company that makes many plastic / composite parts for the auto industry. They currently make all the factory hoods for the Mustang. Got to see a rack of about 200 freshly made 03/04 Cobra hoods today. I asked the plant manager how much it actually costs Ford to have a hood made. He said that a hood costs them right around $90. Wonder why Ford sells them for such a "deal" of you taking it in the ass if you want to buy a OE Replacement? :flipoff:

It was really great touring their 2 plants I've been at this week. It's really amazing how may body parts are no longer made of any type of metal. Seeing how many individual parts make up the Explorer Sport Trac's all plastic bed was really amazing and how they leak test each one.

That is capitalism for you... A cam sensor for the 7.3 lter diesels us to be $240... Ford recalled this perticular item recently now they cost less than $40 bucks. Ford didn't see a need to pay the extra money during the recall. I am suprised to see them not raise the price back up.

Saw invoices today for the 03/04 Cobra Hoos Grill's. $4.65 each if you're buying them 2,000 at a time.

I'm sure ford is'nt the only one that does it, I bet every major company out there charges the consumer much more for things than they actually cost to produce. Take gas for an example. bet it does not cost no where near 2.99 a gallon to produce.

It's only $0.4046 per gallon here in Ohio. Guess that's why it's still only $2.85 out here.

Only 2.85, that's still about 2.35 a gallon to much
