    Fox Fender Aprons

Some of you might remember that these glass fender aprons used to be available. They basically sit in the front inner aprons on the fox body cars, and clean up all the extra holes and such.

My question, what would be the interest if these where available? Trying to see if they are worth the effort to make a set of molds and go through what it takes to make them "right". Thoughts?

Get them made and get them on e-bay, you would probably sell a ton.

There's a guy on turbomustangs.com that had a set for sale for what seems like forever. Don't think the ever actually sold. I don't think there would e much demand for them unless you could sell them for $40 a set and for that I don't see it being worth it.

Thaks guys, we will see how much, and how complicated the molds are going to be. I wanted them for myself, so we will see where this goes.

I know exactly what you mean, thats why I'm feeling this out a little. I think they can be "reasonable" in price (sure not $40.00), but there is a lot that goes into molds and time to lay up and trim, material isnt so much.

i've seen alot of fuel injected cars with these and they couldn't get any cleaner in the enginebay..

if you take the time to install these right and hide the wires then it dont matter if you run F.I. or carb, it looks good

We will take a good look at this over the holiday, see how much the molds are going to take (T&M) and then how much time and material to lay them up and trim. See how they come out price wise and see if its going to be worth the effort to make them available.

Either way, I will have a set in my car ;)

They have been a little bit of a side project. The ones I got where NOS, but pretty poor quality glass. Mine are being "fixed" first, then a decission will be made to pull molds and how much they might cost.
