    Tremec in a Galaxie w/FE

I am looking to put a 5 speed in my 64 Galaxie. Do you know of anyone that will be able to beat these prices below? My main concern is shifter location. It needs to be about perfect for my consol so I will need to measure shifter location Tremec vs. Top Loader. If you know of anyplace to find a used TKO, let me know. Also, the TKO 500 and 600 are the same sizes right? The car has a mild 390/417 around the 425 hp mark so the 600 shouldn’t be needed.

    Let me know

    "Colin,

We can help you with a TKO600 and move the shifter forward for you. We offer the TKO600 with a shortened input shaft that will allow you to bolt the transmission to your FE bellhousing direct. You will need to change the clutch set to a 26 spline hub. We offer several clutches with this hub depending on how you are going to use the car.

Cost of the TKO600 is $1975
Shortened input shaft installed is $150.
Kevlar/Organic 11” clutch set with bearings and a one year warranty is $400. Full Kevlar is $475.
    31 spline slip yoke $89."

You might want to check these guys out. They have a T5 that can handle 600hp for $1590...

I haven't bought anything from them, but 94Cobra brought their website to my attention.

A 5-speed in your Galaxie would be SHA-WEEEEET!!!

    I can't remember where I saw it, but I thought I saw TKO500 & 600's for around $1750 somewhere online a while back...
