Close call......

Yesterday at about 1pm I was going over to the corral to meet Nate to work on the stangs. I pulled out of my driveway and headed south on Mercer Rd towards Butler. About 100 yards from my house there is an intersection of Mercer and Duffy. You can only make a left or right there. There were 2 cars in front of me that were turning right onto Duffy from Mercer. I was going straight. At the last second a green Trailblazer pulls out in front of me. There was nothing I could do but swerve right and pray that she did not have kids in the car. I hit her, but missed both of her doors completely. Thank god she was alone. When I hit her I was standing on my brakes with both feet. If I had hit her dead center she probably would be seriously hurt or even worse.
Here are a few pix to show you the damage. I am glad that I was by myself also. Although my Escalade suffered a bit, we both walked away. That would not have been a good Christmas for anyone.....

If anyone has any ideas how much it may cost to fix the Escalade let me know......I told the state cop not to cite her for this although it was 100% her fault. I'm just glad she was ok....

He had asked me if I wanted her sited. She ended up with a warning instead. She has kids and i didn't wanna be a dick and pull money from her kids Christmas. She'll be paying alot higher insurance rates tho.....Her husband was not happy.

The state cop actually talked to him on the phone. She was ok, not bad for 28. I bet he was when she told him what she pulled out in front of though...

They may be big obnoxious gas guzzlers, but its the preferred vehicle to be in if an accident happens. Glad all is safe.

You guys will think this is funny. State police officer says that she is 100% at fault. I had the right of way, and she pulled out in front of me......Her insurance investigator(Erie Ins.) Says that I am 25% and she is 75%.........Since when do insurance agencies make the traffic laws

??

which is exactly why i said what i said about her coming back on you since you let her go without being cited.
