    Adjustable pinion snubbers

Anyone running an adjustable pinion snubber? My Capri pre dates any snubber, so I dont have one now. Looking at some pictures, I'm wondering if one would help me any.

Rear suspension is CHE upper and lower arms, Eibach launch springs, and an air bag in the right rear. The car moves a good bit on launch, I just wonder if controlling that a little more would be a benefit.

    Pretty typical launch....

Same deal, maybe a little better than average......

This pic is on QTP's versus my typical ET streets, but shows the attitude of the car at "rest".....

Hopefully you can see how much the car is moving. Will a pinion snubber turn that squat into forward movement faster, or just unload the car too fast????

    Thoughts are appareciated.

I put one on my friends 83 Capri RS (welded the top piece to the body) and it works really well. I had one on my 85 Capri RS but it just bolted up, It's a noticable difference.

car looks like it's launching good, it always feels worse than it really looks!!! imo you should be thinking about ditching the air bag and installing an anti-roll bar. i throw my snubbers in the trash can...

I would love an anti roll bar, but the car is daily driven and has a 3" exhaust over the axle. Neither of them work out real well with an ARB ;)

I have been considering upgrading shocks. I have decent ones now, but non adjustable. Not sure if its the right drection right now.

I guess I was thinking that I dont want to slow the transfer any more than it is, just be able to limit how far it travles with a snubber. I think I'm going to bolt one on there and see what I can do with it. Worst case, I pull it off ;)

Lou - you do any tuning with it, or just set it to some air gap and have at it?
