This thread is for those who have ran a new best e.t. this season.

Like the title states, list some of the incrementals from your timeslip. If you feel inclined, list some of the parts it took you to get the e.t. Perhaps you may want to talk about future mods planned for the upcoming season as well.

    *100% OEM N/A 302" short block
    *Heads, Cam, Intake
    *TKO Trans.
*Assortment of suspension products courtesy of QA1.
    *28x9x15 M.T. E/T Drag slicks
    *93 octane Sunoco gasoline
    *9:1 compression ratio
    *MSD 6-AL
*Motorsport Extender (used to get by the 6,250 rpm factory limiter)
    *Spooled 8.8" rear
*Rear wheel power output measured through a Dynojet in SAE *367*
*Vehicle weight with driver 2,825 lbs.

Found an additional 14 peak RWHP from last outing. Some weight was also shed. (around 45 lbs.)

    previous best was: 10.716@123.96

    New best is: 10.604@125.22

    Future mods:

*looking to lose another 50-65 lbs., mostly off the nose*

I didn't really do anything to the car, I just tried to figure out how the car needed to be launched and shifted. Started out with a 12.6 @110 and with about 5 trips to PRP and after 15 passes I got it down to 12.28 @117.98 (left lane). Every time I went it got faster. I want to run 11's on the stock pulley and tune (full weight) so for spring I'm going to try MT DR's and a better heat exchanger. The MGW shifter will probably get tossed for a Pro 5.0 too.

Yea.....my beast ran a 14.1 at norwalk......im gonna have to credit that to removing the back seat.....oh and lowering the pressure in the rear to about 22 psi....those major high h.p. mods helped me get that blistering time.

    as the sig says

    Flowtech long tubes
    Flowtech o/r X pipe
    Mac Cat back
    BBK cold air intake
    BBk 75mm throttle boyd
    Trickflow plenum

    Roush Racing Short Throw Shifter
    Royal Purple 5w30 oil
    Sonoco 93 octane
    Mickey Thompson E/T streets 26x11.50x17

06 season went from a 14.4 to a 13.9 with bbk shortys, o/r h pipe, mac cat back, bbk cold air intake, and a throttle body spacer, on street tires

07 went from a consistent, 13.4 on MT e/t street radials and diablo tuner to from anywhere from 13.3s down to 13.1s wit a best 1.71 60' time with MT e/t streets and the long tube set up... ended up snapping the driver side axle one night up at prp back back in August...

Well for me this will be kind of a baseline.

    I had an 89 Corvette with some intake,exhaust mods, and ran a 13.75 @ 99.98 at PRP.

My first run in the Mustang was a 13.65@105 i believe. 2nd run was 13.13@108. My third and best run that day was a 12.93 @ 109.21 with a 1.86 60' time on 555 street tires. This year the only difference performance wise will be 555 drag radials. Maybe I'll be able to shift faster too; that may of also been the reason I wasn't really satisfied with my ET's.

goal this season: launch harder w/ the new DR's and sharpen up on shifting
goal time: 12.30 or lower @ 110-115 MPH

Current setup is a mostly stock 1968 longblock BBF, with a mostly stock 72’ c6 tranny, 3.50 gears, 26” tire, 3520#.

    Engine/tranny:

1.) Mill, port, and install larger valves in the stock heads
2.) Install new flat tappet cam
    3.) Add kickdown linkage
    4.) Install ratchet shifter

    Chassis:

    1.) Weld-in new floor pans
    2.) Weld-in subframe connectors
    3.) Install cal-tracs

    Steering:

    1.) Check ball joints/tie-rod ends
2.) New 19:1 FR steering box

    Tires:

    1.) Buy way overpriced 18" MT DR's

After all this there’s no mo money left for a stick like I had hoped…it would cost $2500 plus to put a stick in this car…guess I’ll be rocking the auto again next yr. doh

Goal for next yr is 11.7x’s on the 18’s….mph expected is 115-117.

I like running the car at the track just like I run it on the street…..but I just might borrow some real tires for a session to see what it will do.

Started the season @ Thompson running 11.2x with the new trany, wheels & roll bar. Finished the season up with a best of 9.90 @ 140 at PRP. Switched from 110 to C16 in September and increased the timing and boost. Killed a trany, tq converter and turbo in the process and went through a set of M/T's.

Also managed to lose a bearing on the trailer while coming home from PRP. That required a new axle and brake system after it caught fire a mile from home.

Overall, it was a good season. ;)

    2001 Gt Automatic

BBK catted x and SLP LM2 catback
C&L upper plenum with a 75mm BBK tb
    K&N FIPK2
    FRPP 4.10's
    Steeda underdrives
SGS tune: 242rwhp/279rwtq before pullies. Thinking maybe 250/285 now if i'm lucky.

Only suspension mods are Lakewood 50/50 shocks and an Eibach Pro-kit.

Ran a best this year of 13.28@103.71 at PRP on MT ET Street radials at full weight.

Over the winter i'm planning on a stall conveter and aluminum ds along with control arms and subframe connectors. Maybe some weight reduction thrown in too.

Ended last year on 10/15/06 running a best of 12.71 @ 106.79, only changes from 2006 was switching to Royal Purple 5w20, NGK Iridium spark plugs and adding the K&N FPIK cold setup. Ran 12.59-low 12.6s most of the spring/summer after the three things I changed on 3 year old Hoosiers with hammered sidewalls. Sixites varied alot from with good 1.62 to just spinning the tires off.

Ended this year on a new best(always seems to happen last time I goto track each season)

MAC Headers & 2.5" exhaust thru cats(Catco's), full suspension(mix of QA1 front, Steeda rear, Strange struts/shocks), weight removed, factory longblock(intake to oilpan, never opened) Spec2 clutch(2nd season of 6k launches), Steeda Triax, TCI Linelock, Detroit Truetrac diff, Moser 31splines, seriously hurt FRPP 4.10 gear that won't die, Hoosier 26x10 slicks(3rd season), bunch of other misc crap. Link in sig

3135lbs with driver as per IHRA Techs

    10/28/07 @ 1:54pm
    1.68 sixty(spun)
    5.09 330'
    7.96 1/8
    85.39 1/8 mph
    10.43 1000'
    12.51 1/4
    108.30 1/4 mph

Car went 12.57 before best pass then back to back 12.53's after the 12.51 Spun on every pass and ran 108-109mph in right lane and 112mph left lane

Doubt I will do much more to car. Tempted to put back close to stock since most my time will be focused on getting the '84 vert ready for next season. Finally have 351w block for it. Nice lil stroker planned just need to decide on heads and go from there.

Hey man, it's refreshing to see someone wring out a combo as you did. You have a solid 2 tenths at a quicker/faster track. It's hard to give up on a hard charging combo, especially with minimal mods. Believe me, it damn near killed me to pull the E7TE's off my junk.
