What type of AK? I've owned 3 in the past and own one currently...lots of fun.
Post pics! If you aren't sure what type it is I should be able to tell you with a picture.

That reminds me, I should finish building mine someday. It's only been like 2 years now since I started it!
cool. my dad and i have one AK-47 and one Russian SKS.
Here's the current state of my AK. Still have to test fire it, then I'm going to powdercoat all the metal with a black wrinkle-coat.
Thats Sweet.....I thought for $200 I'd be dumb not to get it.
The clip holds 40 rnds.....I got it lastnight. I'll try to post pics tonight
40 round mags are not junk....they came in with the SAR series imports over the past few years. They were actually designed for the RPK, not the AK assault rifles. They're stamped sheet metal just like your typical 30 round AK mag. I've had a couple and all have functioned just fine.

10 years in the federal pen? No thanks...I know you really don't know any better, but do some research about this topic and you'll find that it's completely illegal for you to convert your semiautomatic rifle to a full auto (unless you hold a few licenses which I'm prett sure you don't have). If you want a full auto AK, you have to buy one that's already full auto.
