I broke an axle on my Capri last fall, started getting around to fixing it along with my other winter upgrades. Anyway, went to pull the cross pin retaining bolt, and it came out with the head and threads, but no pin

As i'm sure a lot of you know, the usual fixes involve big freaking hammers, air chissles, and / or torches, sometimes if you are lucky, you can fish it our with a pick (never my luck). Most times, we end up needed a new carrier Anyway, I picked up this kit......

I actually got mine off eBay a little cheaper, but its from the same guys.

Basically there is a bolt to act as a drill guide, a long drill bit, and a few easy outs. I had t ocut about 3" off the drill bit as my drill was hitting the shock. After I got that, I put in the long drill guide bolt, drilled it, pulled out the guide bolt, hammered in the easy out, and had a hold of the broken part in like 15 minutes total. I had to keep moving the cross pin around to find the right spot, but darned if it didnt come out. I wish they would give you a little better quality drill bit with it, rhe one I got is pretty well toast with one use, but hey it worked.

Hope it helps someone else in the future.
