    Another W for the 00'

I was visiting my dad at work and when leaving saw a LS1 WS6 T/A at the red light getting ready to come my way. Hurried to the car and pulled out just after he passed the parking lot. Hurried to catch up and hung in 3rd gear till i got to his rear bumper and thats when he punched it. I put it to the floor, and pulled alongside as 3rd was winding out. Passed him as i caught 4th. Havent seen him since. LOL.

Dont know what it all had or if was a stick or auto but this damb modular impresses me more and more every day. Even with snow tires and 140 pounds of sand in the trunk.

i dunno if Ed is being for real or not, but i second the BS call....

i'm sorry, i'm usually very accepting of people's claims on here, but theres no way a pretty much stock '00 GT (exahuast & intake) is going to even hang with a stock LS1, let alone catch one from behind and pass it...

edit: but ya never know, some drivers are stupid

You all can BS all you want. I didnt think i even had a chance. I know damb well what LS1s (my buddys ran 13.1 with a cat back) can do but i think this was an auto and from a roll the stick has the advantage.

I didnt say i caught it. He punched it as i reached his rear bumper. Maybe I had some forward advantage going and the fact i have a stick that i was able to pull alongside and put a car on it. But i dont know. I didnt expect to pass it. Well see what my 00' does at the track.

I beat an LS1 T/A on the street about a year ago in my 13.9-14.0 5.0 (no spray)...

This story is definitely possible. Good kill.

especially on the top-end. my old GT with 4.10s could hang to about 80 maybe if the ls1 was completely stock, then they put aircraft carrier lengths on me.

Your 4.10s could have had something to do with that. I still have the stock 3.27s and it was only 3rd and 4th gear. Im sure i would have been cooked had i had to go to 5th.

I did that same shit in my 1.5L 4dr civic DX and walked around a LS1 in the passing zone... he was definately on it, and he definately feared me.

i seen it first hand so no calling bs on this one! i was in the passenger seat and ive never seen a front wheel drive do a wheelie but it happened. it was insane we must of carried the front wheels for a good 30-40 feet and then pulled them again when we hit second had to let out of it after that. to friggin scary and not enough Oshit handles in that beast.
