    haha... u got it!
however, it is unlikely that u will find me at the track... my car does not have a cage, nor are there any plans to have a cage put in, and its most definitely not setup to run at the track - quite the opposite... I have yet to enjoy a trip to PRP, thus the reason for my car's current setup choices.... if you'd like to bring it out for the "other option" i will be glad to oblige tho! i have no problem whatsoever with a friendly race

I dont participate nor do i condone street racing cars that have no business racing on the street. My 00' ill have a lil fun here and there but my 94' has no business street racing. I would not want to hurt myself nor any other people if something were to go wrong. I never intented for this thread to go in this direction but aparently it did. I was simply shocked at the results of a small roll race and thought my fellow mustang crowd would enjoy to hear a Ford victory over a Chevy. I agree that a stock LS1 is far superior to a stock 2V mustang but as people have said anything can happen.

im not trying to be a dick but weather your car is a 14 second car or a 9 second car shit can happen and your red car running 11.20 at 120 is not that crazy of a car. a new stock zo6 runs as fast if not faster than that and they are more than capable of being driven on the street and driven hard to say the least. im not saying i think its okay to go blazing down the middle of town or a busy street or high way but if u can find a nice out of way safe stretch of road that u can get a few runs off there is nothing wrong with that we have a place here that we run. u can see for about a mile and half and almost never is their a car around. if u can find a place like i say get it done.

Take it to the track and get a reality check. The time clocks don't lie. That's why a lot of "fast/quick" cars wouldn't be found dead at the 1320';)

Yeah but a new Z06 isnt running on skinnies with slicks and no power steering. I dont care what you say. That is not safe.

that's not a reality check.... that's a personal preference... maybe some guys are afraid of they're driving ability and won't be found dead at the track, but i'm not one of them... I simply have not enjoyed any of my trips to PRP .... but we'll see what my schedule has in store for me after May 17

btw...nice kill. just cause a car is capabable of doing something doesn't mean the driver is.

That right, if you got something to prove go to the track & prove it.

BTW, On my way home from work last night in my 07 civic cruising on the highway and what rolls up beside me, an LS1, he punched it before I could react and he jumped out to a 2-3 car lead on me then I jumped all over the civic and the v-tec kicked in and I started to slowly pull up beside him, by this time were doing about 100mph, and as we progress a little more I start pulling ahead of him, by time everything was said and done I had pulled about 4-5 cars ahead of him. I slowed down and then he did a ricer flyby and flashed the taillight's. I cant believe my little civic beat a LS1, but it happened. After we slowed down the owner told me his car would smoke mine if we raced again cause he had 600 h.p., I laughed and drove away.....

Once again, an opinion.... there's track rats, and theres people who think theres a different place to prove it.... I can't say i've taken a definitive sway either direction, but when i built my car, its clearly to prove a point out on the street

my car has slicks, skinnies, and no power steering hell my manual rack steers as good as it did with power steering. my car traps 13mph faster than yours and it is as safe as a fox body mustang gets. its one thing not to want to race on the street but dont make excusses like this one.

LOL I am just the opposite. I'd much rather trash someone on the street rather than go to the track. But then again i'm not a drag racer though. I don't have a desire to put a roll cage in my car. I like it full interior and clean looking. I'm not saying that I want to street race down through town through traffic, because i don't get down like that, but Secluded area's with plenty of room for error makes a good night and it's way more cost effective than driving 65 miles to the track and spending another 30 to get in and race and buy a drink. Don't get me wrong though going to the track and finding your times is great and fun, but once that's all said and Done i'm ready to go get down and have some grudge street matches.

yay yay congrats on your kill... you act like this is some kind of impressive feat... it was a driver victory.. more of a funny race than something serious. ls1 should have won, but the driver sucks.. rio tapped that ass, end of story.. now we make fun of ls1's and talk a bunch of shit... no need to roll out the red carpet for this race.
