    What Drag Radials ?

What kind of drag radials is everyone running?

I am going to buy a set soon and I was just wondering what everyone likes to run.

I am looking at Nitto NT 555 R Tires , MT's , and Eagle SS Drag

    Thanks

I used them for the last 2 years, I'm switching to the Mickey Thompson's. The Nitto's are a good all around (I had them in the rain once and they did better than I thought) but I can't do any better than a 1.8 60' with them so I'm going to give the MT's a shot.

I went with 17s in front and 18s in rear. And in my unique situation I need a rear ire a little taller so the sidewalls match front and rear, so I had to buy the 555DR's in 305/35ZR18 because thats the only DR in that size as far as I know.

I am leaning towards the MTs. Price is not bad either when compared to the others.

    Thanks everyone

    I went 1.73 60' with 285/35/18 nitto's in a 3850# car with 3.55's, 500+rwhp.

For an all-around tire they're the best IMO.

I think guys that do okay on Nitto's typically have heavier cars, dont leave hard, or are running the real wide ones ;)

I just dont think any drag radial is "best" for a fox car. The M/T radials are probably the best I've seen, but its sure hard to beat a biased ply ET street on stick shift fox.

If your car has anywhere near 500hp don't go with the Nitto's. I can't get any better than 1:80s 60ft.

I'm not saying the Nitto's are bad tires. They will last 5,000 to 10,000 miles which is longer then the others. There just not good for high hp cars.

MT's will dead hook 702rwtq in second gear with a mostly stock suspension... so take that as an example

I was doing 2 to 3 FLD's a month all summer. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd set of rear rims and putting Nitto's on for putting around and MT's for the track and FLD's

Good idea I'd like to do the same thing but if I spend any more $$$ on my car the wife will probably divorce me.
