These cars are money pits, no doubt about it. Once you start with the mods, it is hard to stop. Which car are you painting? I thought your Cobra was red and the paint was excellent in a photo I saw. Perhaps I have your car confused with someone elses. I didn't realize you bought another car, congrats. My projects are coming along. I just went up to Erie yesterday and picked up my 347. I had it rehoned and reringed. The builder found 2 major problems. The main cap girdle was installed without a line hone and that wiped all of the bearings. I also had incorrect length pushrods installed and that wiped out the intake valve guides. wick is rebuilding my tememc 3550 - waiting for some parts before we can finish that project. I found a set of brand new moser 31 spline axles for $150. I'm thinking about buying those even though money is tight at the moment due to the other projects. I will get my car retuned at some point this year. I'm hoping that SGS or Lasota comes to Pittsburgh this year - I don't feel like driving the car that far without the proper tune. Be careful putting more boost to your combo. You already have more power than a stock block can handle. I'm sure you know that already. Nice photos of your son in your other thread. I will look for some photos of your Fox.

I just bought all new exhaust for the Cobra, a 92 Fox Mustang, a sh*tload of parts for it, all new front suspension for the Cobra, Its in the paint shop right now getting painted, etc...
I need to lay off the spending for a little while before my wife kicks me out.
Maybe in a year or two I can throw down for the Dart block.

How's things with your car? Are you going to get it re-tuned? Try www.LasotaRacing.com a try, you wont regret it. Did you get the headers powdercoated yet? Any other plans?

Rob can we race to see who blows their stuff up first? Just kidding man. You need to get them on there. Your next goal should be a 9 second stock 302 shortblock.

After putting the Tremec in my car, the only thing bothering me now is the block. I know I am gonna crush it, just dont know when. It does shift like crazy now. Drove it this evening. I think I am hapier than Michael Jackson on a fifth grade field trip.

Yes, im getting my 94 Cobra painted. The paint is in very good shape but not perfect so I decided to have it re-done by one of the best shops in my area.
Yes, I have heard that you are suppose to have a new line hone when installing a girdle. Ive never seen Lasota or SGS travel so good luck with that. Lasota is only about 20 minutes from Summit Racing. Yes, im also well aware that im pushing the limit right now. I have no idea how long this thing will last, maybe it'll blow up on the dyno, maybe it will last for the whole year, who know's?? I'll do my best to keep it running for as long as the parts will allow. Change the oil everytime I drive it, full of good fuel, and not rev her past 6300-6400, and hopefully that will alow her to stay together for awhile.

You will not believe how much more efficiently your SC will work with new heads,, I actually think you will have to put a bigger pulley on because of the new obtained efficiency.. guess you will see when shes ready...

Did you buy these heads new? If you did it would have been more cost efficient to purchase them straight from T.E.A.

If you purchased them new from summit maybe think about returning them and going with the complete package from T.E.A. That way you could get them with the spring package that is right for your combo.

When talking with T.E.A. tell Brian that Chris and Joe sent you.

I bought them off of a gentleman that bought them new from Summit and decided not to run them and sold them to me. So they are brand new ,never used but I didnt buy them new from Summit. I got a pretty good deal on them so i'll still be $$$ ahead if I send them to TEA and have the work done rather than buying them new from Summit.
