    torque boxes

    do u guys just weld them up or do u buy the reinforcement kits 4 these. i was just going to weld up as much as i can ..

    a good welding of the seems is all you really need to do. if you have the extra time and money it's certainly not a bad idea to do both!

    I wouldn't run a car without the reinforcement plates. Ive seen alot of cracked torque boxes on some fairly stock vehicles. We sell both uppers and lowers for 79.95 if your interested.

    I put the LMM kits in mine, welded everything I could, then welded all the kit parts in place. This was of course after I ripped out the DS upper ;) Its solid as can be back there now ;)

    yeah i am going to finish welding them today and i minght make some plates to reinforce them i found some plans last night .

    i totally recommend to do both, Once you have torn the torque boxes out, you can forget about ever hooking, trust me on this one, I have ruined them before...

    the biggest problem with torque boxes are people wait until it's too late to do something about them. just because you haven't ripped them out of the car doesn't mean they aren't damaged. with that said, JUNK welds will only buy you time and waste your money.
