The JAW is getting pretty popular with the MegaSquirt crowd. Basically, they even opt out of the display because they can read it via MegaTune. If you are looking to buy one, check a lot of the various forums, seems to be lots of group buys going on ;)

The other HUGE upside is that JAW can be used to grab an RPM signal too for logging. I might have gone this way if it was around when I bought my AEM, and SSI-4.

Thats something suprising to me. I thought one of the benefits of MegaSquirt II with v3.0 of the PCB was that you could display your AF with the now-available screen and you could datalog right off the squirt.

Or is this for people with older squirts and dont want to update?

I think thats at least part of it. lots of guys still using MSI and MS1nE type stuff. Just bring the wideband directly into the Squirt for closed loop control, and data log it off the laptop. The new stuff is pretty neat, but its seems to be a little "buggy" from what i've seen. Maybe not so much bugs, but more sensitive code.

There is still alot of devolepment going on for MSI, and its able to do Ford TFI stuff pretty easy.

Hmmm... thats good information to know. I wanted this originally for my SRT but now given this I might want to research the various versions of MS and see which way I want to go for my mustang project.

I think the round ones are nice as well if they have a digital center. You obviously need to have the proper mounting area available for which ever one you choose.
Agreed Mark. They need to be in clear view, thats for sure. Cant be looking for it while driving!!! HAHA

I guess my question is why? Do you want the data logging from the SSI-4, or like some feature of the Innovate gauge better than the AEM you already have?

Why I ask, I am running the AEM Wideband ($210.00) plus the SSI-4 ($100.00) for data logging (I can get EVERYTHING cheaper than off Innovates site). The AEM gauge outputs a 0-5 volt signal that can be used to datalog, go into a standalone controller, or whatever. There is also a serial output if you want to log that way.

Again, its your money, just not sure why you would replace a great gauge with something that does basically the same thing + something you can add??? I need to start sellingthis stuff :D

its cause my AEM only works when it wants to, some times it will work fine then all of a sudden just shut off then it will come back on and just bounce all over the place..... That is not the price i paid, that is just the kit that i got.

I've used the AEM wideband with great success on both my supercharged car, and turbo car. It's the only wideband i've ever owned, and I do use it to datalog as well. Sleek look and great performance. I got mine about 2 years ago when they were newer and cheaper.
