well i went and looked at the raptor, it was junk... making all kinds of noises, sounds really beat, had big hole in the top of airbox, neither lights worked, the tires in the pick above arent even on it, they were all bald.. i said no thx..

so gonna look round some more now.


im confused though on the 250x... i talked with a few others bout them who have either had them or have them and they say there's run great, like a raped ape. one guy said his is mostly stock and puts the beatdown on the honda 400ex..

convince me!!!! LOL if not then ima go buy something new

starting in '08 Polaris is using the same exact KTM motors in their Predator/Outlaw series. so, almost same thing for $7,200.

I might have made a mistake. I thought you said the honda was a 250ex. If its an 250X, thats not a bad ride. But, you are a fattie like me. That 250 four stroke might have some trouble getting up and going. The raptor has a hole in the airbox to let more air in. They need all the air you can give them. The Rap is a noisey machine to start with. Check out the honda and give me a ring. We can talk more about it.

Here's how I see it. First of all buy what you like ultimately. As far as the 250x. It is a friggin legend. Everything has its pros and cons. two stroke going to be cheaper in the long run IMO. Mostly cause of the parts cost way more to build than a four stroke. And nothing zings like a two stroke. We mainly went to four-strokes to be responsible with the enviorment and global warming. If the price is right and go for it. I agree with " " that if you are bigger the smaller cc's will come into play. If you are going four stroke get it cheap and make sure its a good buy. Cause if its not new and under warranty your wallet will let you know. And if you are going new, I would look at the 800 Bomardier Renegate 800cc all wheel drive racer. As tested in the last thing I read about them they are the meanest baddest thing out there. No matter what you buy it will be good times for sure.

yep ima 6'7" 280lb guy, so i agree on gettin a bigger quad to haul my big azz,lol..

bout 2yrs ago i had a blaster (got it super cheap,just to beat on) and it hauled me round really good, was pretty fast, so thats why im guessing this 250x will do me good for now

i really dont want a quad payment(right now) so im just looking for something to beat on, on the weekends.. further down the road i could always use this 250 to use as a trade on something newer and bigger

well i went a checked out the honda 250x and it's in good shape, rides nice and hauls azz for a 250.. so i bought it, this way i got something to beat around till i may get a bigger quad 4x4.lol..

so if there are gonna be any riding get togethers post up a thread... thx guys for all the input
